The light source is supplied with a 2 metre liquid light guide, 5 pairs of viewing goggles, a pair of full face masks for protection against reflected UV and a set of camera filters to enable the operator to take permanent photographic records.
Safety Features
Intense visible light can damage eyesight permanently but safety features built into the Quaser 2000/30 reduce this risk significantly.
A unique ‘low radiance cone’ is fitted to the light guide to expand the emitted beam. This reduces the risk of permanent eye damage, even when the beam is accidently viewed at close range.
The Quaser 2000/30 has been designed and tested in collaboration with the Police Scientific Development Branch, a UK government agency, and is approved for use by UK police forces.
